  : I believe the current state of the hotel is misrepresented on all review sites. in my view it needs a significant amount of upgrading to bring it in line with the rating of 8.9. The fabric of the building is now in poor repairsThe Wi-Fi was the poorest we used during our stay in Istanbul. The small courtyard which has been available to use for reading and sitting quietly in the past now appears to be used to dump old furniture. The rooms are small and the floors are not wooded but laminated and in our room they were lifted from the floor. There was only 1 usable electric socket in our room and the bedside lamps didn’t work. The plumbing meant that it was safer to use a toilet elsewhere. The stairs are dark and difficult to navigate. The motion sensors which switch the lights on did not do so in a timely way leaving one to begin climbing the stairs in the dark. The door onto our very small balcony was broken and could not be kept fully closed without one of our cases being pushed against it.

  : Very cute eclectic style that you just wouldn't get from a chain hotel. Friendly, capable service. Amazing location with 10 min walk to the major tourist sites but still a quiet place to sleep. Lovely Turkish breakfast. Would return again and recommend to family and friends.
