: We have stayed at Spehdon in mid October; I would like to leave some reviews here so people planning to book the room could refer to this personal experience and reconsider their expectations: 1. Rooms are actually smaller than in the photo; for single person staying might be sufficient, though, for couples/two persons are really small.2. Cleaning is not too bad, but not good as well. Especially bathroom seems to be only slightly cleaned. For those who are used to live in cleanliness - this left bad impression on us; we could not cancel our booking and move to another hotel as we pre paid via booking.com and had to stay there till check out day. 3. Hotel is old, facilities in general are too old. Telephone in the room wasnt working, until we asked to fix it. TV was not working as well. Overall hotel needs major repairing works and the sooner the better. 4. Breakfast is not bad.5. If you move within Istanbul via tram, then please note that location of the hotel is not so close to tram station. But still, walking distance.Overall, for $60+ per day, I would expect something better. From positive feedback: All personnel was really friendly and responsive. Especially Ali at the registration desk was very helpful. Terrace on the top floor has enjoying view to the sea.Hope it helps.

: The staff was really nice and very helpful! They speak many languages and were fun to chat with, they give great advice and will research things for you if needed. The location is very accessible and you dont need to walk long to the main attractions. Fantastic terrace and the view!
: You can hear pretty much everything that is happening in the corridor and backyard and all the doors need some oil as they all are incredibly squeaky.

: Even if the room was a little bit small, the hotel provides you with intimate spaces you can use at your pleasure: the terrace and the backyard. These two are a real plus, same as the staff, very kind and 24/7 available. Breakfast service was of good quality, with variety proportioned to the small hotel it is. I would definitely recommend, it is very central and handy!

: Fantastic location, close to all of the major tourist hotspots and lots of restaurants to choose from. Staff were brilliant in helping us organise things we wanted to do/see, Ali (manager) also helped us organise our onward travel which was very helpful!
