This charming boutique hotel is housed in a 19th century building right by the Golden Horn. Enjoy a unique hotel experience in a quiet and old Istanbul street. There are 3 suites 12 double rooms and 2 single rooms at the Hotel Troya Balat.

All have air conditioning a mini-bar telephone shower hairdryer kettle and cable TV. Each room has a different decoration and atmosphere. Everything in the building from the hand painted murals to the old wooden doors floors and ceilings is original.

The old water pumps stained glass windows and marble sinks are still being used.

: Samiha. When I checked out she confronted me about my previous review. I had to book 2 separate reservations to get my full stay so I wrote one review the night before I left. When checking out this morning she confronted me about my review around her employees. The other day when I asked her something she said she just works here and didnt know. But today its different. I actually dont know who runs the hotel at all. Never met anyone. Check in was a boy who took my passport came back gave me a room key and said breakfast ends at 10. We give reviews so other travelers know and can decide what is or is not important. It is outdated, their restaurant is overpriced for the food and location (and one night they said they had no room for me as a guest in the hotel). Taxis are rip offs and the tram is across the street. The hotel is loud all hours of the day and night

: Its right across the street from the Tram and Fener fairy. The location allowed me to use public transportation a lot when I noticed the taxis and Ubers were trying to rip me off. Uber would call and instead of 100 lira (which is quoted) they call and say 400 or Im not coming! Taxis also see you as a foreigner so they either dont show or charge you 5x they charge a local. Being next to Balat / Fener neighborhood was a good experience but I would not stay in this location again. I like to walk around a lot and after dark Balat Fener is not safe.
: Its old and outdated. No special pricing if you eat lunch or dinner. Breakfast was good. Simple things like cheese eggs olives etc
